I’ve been sifting through some of the comments from the reader survey so far (thank you to those of you who have filled it out already, and if you haven’t, here’s the link).

Something I’ve noticed is a bit of a recurring theme in the comments is along the lines of, ‘OK, but what do people actually feed their kids??’ 

We’ve all been burned by those Instagram posts where someone’s kid asks for a PB&J sandwich and then the mum goes and makes it for them, FROM SCRATCH. 

Ok, that’s a dramatic example, but even the more ‘realistic’ examples are still curated and art directed for the 'gram.

I’ve made a pretty intentional decision not to show what I feed Avery. At least, not very often. 

Today I’m going to show you some of the typical meals we have. I scrolled back in my phone to the beginning of summer and have included as many pics as I can find. Just a note that this will be much easier to view on the desktop version of the site rather than in your email.

AND, I hope you’ll chime in with some pics of your own in the comments (I know Disqus is a fucking mare, but one cool thing is that it lets us drop pics in the comments!). If you don’t want to show pics then feel free to share a little description, links to favourite recipes etc…). 

But first I want to share some context about A's eating. As you know, I'm not a fan of labelling kids as 'fussy' or 'picky', but he is, well, 'particular'. Here's where we're up to:
